Der Turm Torre del Conde<\/strong>, auf Deutsch „der Turm des Grafen“ ist eines der beliebtesten Wahrzeichen<\/strong> von La Gomera<\/a>. Dieser Turm befindet sich in San Sebastian de La Gomera<\/a> und ist Ihnen sicher schon aufgefallen, falls Sie bereits in San Sebastian<\/strong> auf Besuch waren.<\/p>\n

\"Torre<\/p>\n

Der Torre del Conde<\/strong> heisst \u00fcbersetzt so viel wie der Turm des Grafen<\/strong>. Den Namen hat der Turm wohl deshalb erhalten, weil er vom ersten Grafen oder Landherren<\/strong> von La Gomera nach der Eroberung<\/strong> erbaut wurde. Der Turm diente dem Landgrafen Hern\u00e1n Peraza el Viejo<\/strong> als Schutz vor den nach der Eroberung \u00fcbrig gebliebenen Ureinwohnern<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Torre<\/p>\n

Erbaut wurde der Torre del Conde<\/strong> zwischen 1445 und 1447. Der Stil dieses Turmes entspricht der typischen Milit\u00e4r-Architektur im gotischen Stil<\/strong>, den man h\u00e4ufig auf den Kanaren<\/strong> vorfindet.<\/p>\n

Anfangs war der Turm nicht stabil genug gebaut worden und es gelang den Ureinwohnern immer wieder diesen zu erobern und f\u00fcr sich einzunehmen. Aufgrund der h\u00e4ufigen Angriffe auf den Turm<\/strong> wurde dieser mehrmals um- und ausgebaut. Heute ist der Turm noch sehr gut erhalten und f\u00fcr Besucher zug\u00e4nglich<\/strong>. Vom Torre del Conde<\/strong> aus hat man einen sch\u00f6nen Blick auf das St\u00e4dtchen San Sebastian<\/a> und die Umgebung<\/strong>. Zuletzt wurde der Turm im Jahr 1960 renoviert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Auf La Gomera<\/a> geniesst dieser ehemalige Wehrturm<\/strong> sehr viel Beliebtheit und so wurden verschiedene Hotels<\/a>, Apartmenth\u00e4user<\/a> und Restaurants<\/strong> oder Bars<\/strong> sowie Fincas<\/a> nach ihm benannt, die sich normalerweise auch direkt in der N\u00e4he befinden.
